Qus.1 Imagine you are the king. Narrate the incident of your meeting the hermit. Begin like this: The wise men answered my questions, but I was not satisfied with their answers. One day I decided to go and meet the hermit…

Ans. The wise men answered my questions but I was not satisfied with their answers. One day I decided to go and meet the hermit. The hermit lived in a forest. When I saw him he was digging beds in front of his hut. I said that I had come there to seek the answers to my three questions, but it did not speak. I repeated the questions but he did not give any answer. It was sunset. I was ready to return back. Just then I saw a wounded man running toward us. Coming near to us he fell down and wanted to kill me. He asked me for forgiveness. I was happy to have made peace with an enemy of mine. I promised that I would return his property to him. Next morning when I was ready to return back I wanted to see the hermit to ask for the answers once more. At this the hermit told me that my questions had already been answered. He said that most important time for doing a right thing is now. The most important person for us is a person with whom we are at specific moment. The most important business is to do good to the person who is with us. I was fully satisfied with the answer and came back to my kingdom happily.

Qus.2  Imagine you are the hermit. Write briefly the incident of your meeting the king. Begin like this: One day I was digging in my garden. A man in ordinary clothes came to see me. I knew it was the king…

Ans. One day I was digging in my garden.  A man in ordinary clothes came to see me.  I knew it was the king. I greeted him.  He said that he had come to him to know the answer to these three questions.

The three questions were:-

  •  What is the right time to do a right thing?
  •  Which people should he listen to?

I did not give any answer to his questions but went on digging the beds. He repeated the questions but I did not give any response. He started digging the beds. He was tired. It was time to sunset. He wanted to return back. Just then a wounded man came running. Blood was flowing from his stomach. The king washed his wound and dressed it. The man recognized the king. He begged for kings forgiveness. He told the story why he wanted to murder him. The man promised the king that he would serve him as a faithful servant. The king was happy to have made peace with an enemy. Next morning the king asked me again to give the answer to his questions. I said that his questions had already been answered. He was surprised. I told him that the most important time was when he was digging beds for me.  And I was the most important person.  And do me good was his most important business. These things saved his life.
